With the announcement of the Lockdown over the weekend, we have spent the day going over the guidelines and assessing our covid policies.
It has been made clear in the announcements that people can continue to go to work if they cannot work from home. We recognise that our Print Studio offers the space, equipment and materials for our Members and Studio Holders to complete work which contributes to their livelihood and income.
We have therefore decided to keep the Print Studio open on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays 9:00 - 16:30 throughout Lockdown.
The Art House will be closing to the public, however, the current booking system that we have in place for the Print Studio will remain the same with the Print Technician (Ellie!) managing the bookings, arrival of members and the space during your session.
With the stricter measures in place, we must ensure the following:
- All print studio sessions are booked in advance by emailing printstudio@the-arthouse.org.uk
- You have told us what time you are arriving, leaving and what equipment and materials you need to use
- Anyone booked in to use the Print Studio is punctual for their session
- You are wearing a mask on arrival and throughout your session
- No sessions overrun if there are later sessions booked
- Print Studio members have finished and left the print studio by 16:30 so we can make sure the studio is cleaned and sanitised thoroughly
We will continue to accept new/renewed memberships and will handle health and safety inductions on a case by case basis.
We kindly ask that Print Studio members are responsible and make their own judgement about whether they can or should be using the Print Studio, especially those that are high risk or vulnerable to the virus.
We want to continue to support our community as much as we can and we really hope that remaining open provides some comfort and positivity during this difficult time!
